Meet the Staff


24 hour care staff 

At Saint Judes we have fully trained care staff on the premises 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year so no matter what your need we will be there for you.

All our staff receive the appropriate professional development and training needed to offer the best possible care and attention to our residents. All staff receive professional supervision and appraisals and are trained in a variety of specific care based disciplines such as dementia care, safeguarding, moving and handling, infection control, health and safety, fire safety and food hygiene. 

All care staff have or are working towards a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2/3 qualification with our team leaders and Registered Manager holding advanced NVQ certification.

Team Leaders

We have dedicated Team Leaders on each day shift offering support and advice to the care staff team whilst acting as the direct link between the registered manager and the rest of the Saint Jude staffing team. The Team Leaders also take responsibility over the management and administration of medication, direct GP and District Nurse liaison and shift management.

Registered Manager

The role of Registered Manager at Saint Judes is the key to the successful day to day management of the home. Our manager ensures that the wellbeing of our residents is paramount and that the staff on the ground have an excellent source of support whilst also being on hand for the families and friends of residents.

Activities Co-ordinator

Our Activities Co-ordinator plans afternoon entertainment and stimulation for those residents wishing to take part. We try to encourage engagement in the activities and the sessions often prove very popular with craft afternoons, sing-alongs, live music artists, cinema visits and days out being just some of the most popular.

Housekeeping Manager

Our Housekeeping Manager keeps us all in check! The daily management of the cleaning staff, room cleanliness, laundry and maintenance requirements is critical and we are very lucky to have a dedicated manager to oversee these.

Support Staff

We have numerous key support staff; from our cleaning team, hairdresser and chiropodist to our maintenance contractor, plumber and electrician - each of them is a trusted and long time member of the Saint Jude team. 


Staff Culture

We have a friendly open door culture between care staff and management and there is always a manager or Team Leader available for advice from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. In addition, an 'on call' system operates outside of those times if required for advice which ensures there is always a manager available for staff support. 


Doctors & Specialist Services

Team Leaders will arrange all doctors appointments, hospital visits and any specialist therapy bookings required by residents. The Team Leaders also have an excellent relationship with the local District Nurses and arrange daily visits for any resident needing treatment or diagnosis.
